Slide Mount Class Part 7

<<  Part 6

Part 8  >>

Are you just as excited about slide mounts as I am now?!

Want more idea's?!  Let's go!........

How about covering your slide mount with your favorite pattern paper?  I am using the same basic cardboard slide mount, and Chatterbox "Dark Den Circles" pattern paper.  Pattern cardstock will work just as well.

I like to use "Yes" paste glue and my finger for this next step.... apply a thin layer of glue over the slide mount, completely covering it.
Than apply the slide mount to the backside of the pattern paper. (This paper is double-sided with a different pattern on each side)
Using sharp scissors, trim away the outside edges.
Then using a sharp craft knife, trim out the inside edges.
Here is your finished slide mount.  That was quick, easy and an inexpensive way to create your very own "designer" slide mounts.  Since the slide mounts are small, it is also a great way to use up your scraps of paper.
Let's make another card!

Start out with the color "Windy" Bazzill cardstock, and add a 2.75 inch strip of Chatterbox's "Big Den Stripes" to the middle of the card.

I am going to use my new "designer" slide mounts as frames for a baby photo (my nephew Peter) and one of the shrink plastic leaves I made for the first card.
Glue the frames to the front of the card, and using "Yes" glue, glue the shrink plastic charm inside the first frame.

To the bottom left side of the card stamp, "Great oaks from.... and the 3-dots stamp.  To the right upper corner stamp, little acorns grow.... and the 3-dots again, using black ink.

What a great baby announcement this would make!  Just print the birth records inside the card using your computer.
