These are easy enough to make that you will want to make a bouquet for your friends and family!

Supply List; *Silk flower. I used a layered flower but any kind will do.

*1 Large headed brad. *circle cutting system of some kind... I use the Coluzzle system.

*Book ring clip. (these look a very large split ring. Can be found at office supply stores.

*Photographs.

*Rubber Stamps - bring out your saying and alphabet stamps. *Two sizes of smaller circle punches (about 3/4 and 1")

*1/2" circle punch and a regular hand punch

*Ribbon, paper flowers, and various other embellishments.

*Basic supplies i.e.; scissors, glue, etc....

Pull your silk flower from the bush or stem
Take the whole flower apart and discard any of the plastic
pieces that are in-between the layers of the flower.

My flower had a plastic stem attached directly to the
petals, and we are want our finished flower to lay flat, so
you would need to cut that off with a sharp pair of
scissors.
In a lot of silk flowers you will need a large head brad
(not a mini brad) or the brad will slip right through the
hole. My flower in the photo had a smaller hole so I was
able to use any brad.

Pointesettia's have several little "buds" in the center
(that is not the technical term!) so I decided to use
several rhinestone brads, and used a paper piercer to create
the holes for the other brads.
Oooo pretty!

The back is not so pretty...but that OK it won't show on the
completed project.
Now it is time to cut circles out for the pages of the
album. There are a lot of great cutting systems available,
I like my Coluzzle shown here.
Decided how large your circle album pages need to be. This
pointesettia was pretty large so I made my circles about the
size of a CD.
Go ahead and cut out your circle pages from pattern paper or
cardstock, or both like I did.

The Coluzzle system works with a swivel knife and templates
that have slits cut that the swivel knife runs along to cut.
Whala!
I used Daisy D's French Market collection for most of my
bloom album, with a dotted Chatterbox Gallery collection
thrown in. Since I was using pattern paper and I want this
album to last a very long time I sandwiched a circle of
white cardstock between two pattern paper circles. I used
red cardstock for the inside of the front and back covers.
Well if you know me at all... you know I "need" to stamp
something! I chose the newsprint paper so that I could
stamp on it and make it look Christmas-y. I used our Retro
Holly & pointesettia stamp set along with Pallet ink pads
Landscape and Claret.
I also edged the circles with tea dye Distress ink
Punch out circles from cardstock (for stability) and pattern
papers to create tabs for your album. This punch is about 1
1/4"
Stamp initials or other images onto your circle tabs.
I like how the bold lettering of our Modern Monogram stamp
set is easy to read on the tabs.
Glue the pattern paper circles to the red cardstock circles.
I made my own hole rein enforcers by first punching cardstock
with our 1/2" punch
Then punch out the middle of that circle with a basic hole
punch.
Punch a hole in your circle pages with a basic hole punch
Use the first page you punched as a template for all the
other pages so that the holes are all in the same position.
Glue on your hole reinforces. This will ensure that your
album will last for years to come even when little ones
handle it.
I also think they look cool!
You can glue your silk flower to your cover now if you would
like. I love those sparkly rhinestones!
I "staged" where my tabs were to be attached and used a
touch of glue to keep them there.
Once you know where you want your tabs use permanent glue at
the top
Attach the first tab under the cover. I also used brads to
make sure everything is secure, and they look good.
Here is a finished tab.
Continue attaching your tabs all the way around.
Now it is time to decorate your pages... my favorite part
(except for the stamping that is!) I kept the decorating
simple on this album as the photo's were so great (from last
Christmas) and there was a lot of different patterns in the
album.
One of my favorite embellishments is ribbon, and I just use
my tape runner for this.
Then trim off the edges...be careful with those Queen Bee
scissors!
Ouch!... those scissors sure are sharpie!
Use a book ring to attach your pages. This one here is a
bit large, but was all I had at the time.
Just open up the ring and slip the pages on.
You can decorate the ring with more ribbon if you would
like.
The finished album!
Page 1 my son Alec with our sheltie Sierra

page 2 Sean with his Christmas puppy
page 3 twinster David with Sierra
page 4 all the boys!
page 5 Husband kissing Alec and our old pooch Sammy Whammy
page 6 Mom and the boys, and "the end"... the twins who have
their Christmas hats pulled down over their heads!
Here is another Bloom Album I made featuring a silk flower that I pulled from a bush.  The whole bush of flowers was $2.00 on sale at our local craft store,  and it had about 20 blooms on it.  What a deal!
I made this album for my Brother and Sister in-law, from a series of photo's she gave me.
upside down Sarah.
Jay with his boy scout uniform on.
Their youngest Peter.
The eldest is Karen.
The end!  I hope you try a blooming album of your own.  You can make these albums unique with the flowers and colors you choose... or how about making a mini blooming album with small silk flowers?  How about making a square or oval shaped album?  Lot's of fun possibilities!
